In 2019, St. James (est. 1850) and St. Paul’s (est. 1876) decided to become one congregation to form a stronger, more resilient church.

Our congregation has a strong commitment to our community and in doing so, they demonstrate our Diocesan core values to Love Jesus, Embody Justice and Be Disciples.

We host a monthly Food Pantry through which we provide food for approximately 50 families. We host and support the the United Ministries of Westmoreland County, a coalition committed to ensuring housing security and wellness for the residents of Westmoreland County. We also host a weekly AA group at St. James.

We are integral parts of the community, providing a monthly Friday Night music night, sponsoring monthly presentations about the Northern Neck, participating in the Montross Fall Festival, and offering a community “Blessing of the Animals” service as well as Easter Egg Hunt.

As a combined congregation, we are served by the same pastor. Since 2024, we have been blessed to have the Rev. Megan Limburg guide our congregation. St. Paul’s and St. James are in the Northern Neck Region of the Episcopal Diocese of Virginia.

When and Where do we meet?
